Inara is a passionate spacer, science explainer and communication booster who builds access for the general public to the real possibilities of our future in space. She believes one of the key factors missing in the space industry is the ability to give the wider public a true understanding of the space industry and a real way for them to participate. In order to transition from a group of companies selling their own products to an interconnected industry providing a robust future for our species in space it is vital we have the support of the public and get them to dream with us. This is how we go from an industry to a new civilization. This engagement with the public provides real momentum, priority and funding for the space industry as more people are plugged in

Inara is the president of the Multiplanetary Society, a Gerald K O’Neill inspired non-profit organization which is working to make humanity Multiplanetary by 2035. She is the CEO of Galaxis Aerospace which will be providing key support technology to make settled life in space possible. As a trans woman herself, Inara is the chair of the board of Gaaays in Spaaace, an organization blending Science, Sci-Fi and LGBTQIA+ Diversity and Equity, while working with some of the biggest names in the Star Trek line-up. As her on-air persona of the Galaxis Gal, She is a science explainer on two popular programs along with her co-hosts, Space Case Sarah (on Cosmic Waves) and Dan Deevy (on Cosmosapiens) on IROC Space Radio hosted on the iHeart platform with over 100,000 listeners. When not making space real for those traditionally left out of the loop or working to one day have a Coffee on the Moon, Inara enjoys swing jazz, romantic comedy, traveling and activism for the rights of current and former fosters kids. She also collects screen-used props from the Sci-fi series Killjoys and homeschools her three children.

The results Inara produces are a product of her communication style and her special ability to network making vital connections which accelerate the work being done in the industry. She moves at a fast pace with solid results when tapped. She believes passionately in activating as many different types of people as possible to solve our largest systemic issues- together. Sometimes it only takes two organizations to collaborate rather than to compete in order for a solution to emerge and making those types of symbiotic connections is her sweet spot.

Besides her support and collaborative work with people such as Rick Tumlinson (EarthLight Foundation) Dr Egbert Edelbroek (SpaceBorn United) Nino Marcantonio (DTIP) Chris Moradi (One of the top 20 radio men in America) Bruce Furst (Paramount and IROC) and Frank White (Author of the Overview Effect and thought leader in the industry for 30 years) Inara has founded and spearheaded various organizations.
